Post laser ablation.: What your are experiencing is normal post laser ablation. The laser heats the vein or the tissue around the vein causing the vein to coagulate. This results in redness and bruising of the overlying skin. This takes about 5 to 7 days to occur and this is why you see bruising and feel the discomfort at this time. Wet warm compresses to the area and ibuprofen will help.
