Just be careful: Conjunctivitis (pink eye) usually is due to common cold viruses, and prevention is the same: no kissing (even a social peck on the cheek), no shared cups or utensils, cover coughs and sneezes, limited hand contact with others, and very freqent hand washing or alcohol gel. It's different in young kids, e.g. day care, because at that age hygiene and preventing spread are impossible.
