Depends...: Well... When people lose a lot of weight it can leave them with residual skin. If it's paper thin and resembles rolled up parchment, its truly excessskin and you may need surgery to rid yourself of that problem. But if it's more than a few millimeters thick and fills your hand it's excess fat. Men generally need to get to 10-12% and women 15-17% body fat before considering surgery.
