Be upfront.: If you're looking to work there for only three weeks, I would let them know that from the beginning, and not just tell them after you're hired and working that you're leaving. There's nothing wrong with trying to apply, but any boss would be appreciative of your being honest from the get-go by saying you're only looking for three weeks of work.
