When my son was 5 months old he had to be hopitalized & wasn't eating but i need to know why he got red spots was it chicken pox? or fever dots.

If your son's rash : had been diagnosed as Chickenpox, hospital personnel would have taken strict precautions to prevent other hospitalized children from becoming infected. He should still get his Varicella vaccine at 12-15 months & 4-6 years. To find out if he had a viral exanthem, or rash, sign a HIPAA-approved release of records from the hospital to his pediatrician. His pediatrician can review the record with you.
