Rash: This could be nummular eczema, ringworm or hives. I would have him seen to diagnose and treat him appropriately.

Could be either: Eczema can occur in circular patches, as can ringworm. Though ringworm can be clear in the center, it is not always. It sounds like this rash could be either. You will likely benefit from taking your son to his doctor for a diagnosis.
