My son hit his head into a wall. he has been sleeping on and off all day (started falling asleep 3 hours after he hit his head) bit of a fever now ?

Head contusion: It is likely the fever is separate from the head bump. If there was no loss of consciousness, vomiting, increasing head pain or change in behavior the head injury is likely OK. He did not fall a big distance. As long as he is otherwise well and there is no history of a bleeding disorder he can be watched. If you are unable to wake him up or his symptoms change he needs to go to the emergency room.
