Eat orange peels?: Peels in general contain more pesticides than the flesh of a fruit. Check with your governments regulations on how much you can get by eating peels. You can google this and see what you think the data shows. And then decide for your self what the risks and benefits are of eating vs not eating. Or do a pubmed search for orange peels AND pesticides.

OK but organic best!: Orange peels are a superb source of beneficial phytonutrients such as bioflavonoids, but will likely have pesticide residues unless organic. In a list of 50 common fruits and veggies apples ranked first in pesticides and oranges 31st- see http://www.ewg.org/foodnews/list.php Try washing before eating by soaking in solution of 10% vinegar/90% water for 20 min, then rinse.Choose organic if available!

Concerned. Does fruit peel contain more pesticides than normal fruit? Would an apple contain more pesticides than orange peel?

Pesticides: All fruits should be well washed because of the use of pesticides often used by the growers. Of course the peel contains the brunt of the pesticide. I don't feel that there is any significant difference between apples and oranges in that regard except you don't eat the peel of the Orange usually.
