No, overheating a : child will not speed recovery, it will just make him sweat. He needs to drink lots of clear liquids, like an electrolyte solution called Pedialyte & stay well-hydrated. would be good to see his pediatrician to find out the cause of the chest congestion. It could be from wheezing or pneumonia, or it could be that you're hearing " rattles" that are actually upper airway sounds.
