Very bad pain in center of my chest bad congestion but unproductive cough pain severe to feeling it on the outside through touch?

Prob chest wall pain: Most likely causes stem from the respiratory infection, which is leading to chest congestion and cough. If cough severe, it may cause tearing of intercostal muscle fibers (mm between the ribs); may be some pleural (lining of the lungs) inflammation, which causes sharp severe pain with cough or deep breath. Since it is on the 'outside' chest, rx underlying infection, w cough suppressant will heal.
