Cramp: sounds like a nocturnal leg cramp These are very common. Often they are a result of electrolyte shifts and overworked muscles. I recommend drinking coconut juice, which has alot of potassium and other electorlytes, eating bannanas, and caclium supplements;

Stretch the calf: Treatment for occasional nocturnal "charley horse" or muscle spasm of the calf muscle is to slowly stretch the muscle. If frequent a warm bath before bedtime may along with stretching the calf may prevent them. SEE > http://wb.md/1SZ8MYX
