Dr. Alvin Lin answered

Cox 2 inhibitor: Arcoxia (etoricoxib) is a Cox 2 inhibitor not available in the States. Check out http://www.drugs.com/arcoxia.html for more info. Cox 2 inhibitors are closely related to NSAIDs such as Ibuprofen & Naproxen which means they can cause bleeding ulcers, irritate kidneys & perhaps increase risk for heart attacks. As w/all medications, only take if desired benefit is greater than potential side effects.
