Maybe--see Dr: Perhaps, if the rbc were breaking down, leaving heme & bili pigments in large quantities prior to processing by liver (or in setting of liver disease--which can do that on its own). If related, need further testing to identify why. Talk to your dr.

R/o polycythemia: Polycythemia vera rubra, which can produce an unexpected high rbc, infamously causes itching especially after a shower. Just a thought.
