I started today antibiotics (shot + doxycycline) for an epididymitis (no chlamydia/gonorhea test done). is it worth to do a test after antibiotics?

Get STD tested!: No test for gonorrhea/chlamydia? Why not?? Insist on it, still valid for a few days after start Rx. Tested for other bacteria? Your doctor obviously thinks it's an STD -- that's the only type of epididymitis that would be treated with a shot (probably ceftriaxone for gonorrhea) plus doxycycline (for chlamydia). Not recommended for other infections. Talk w/ doctor about retest; or go to GUM clinic.
