When i had c-diff my a platelets were 599 x10e3/ul. i no longer have c-diff, but my platelets are stil high at 406 x10e3/ul 6 weeks later. normal??

I think: you should be evaluated for chronic blood loss..perhaps GI secondary to residual inflammation after the C diff infection! High platelet counts may be associated with BLOOD LOSS Just a thought! Hope it's helpful! Dr Z
