Pulmonary cirrhosis: Pulmonary cirrhosis is another term for fibrotic diseases of the lungs, most commonly referred to as interstitial pulmonary fibrosis. Fibrosis can be thought of as damage with resultant scarring of the lungs. It is often a permanent condition, but medications can help with the breathing symptoms. See a lung specialist, a pulmonologist. Good luck.
