Finish and more rest: you were prescribed antibiotics for a throat infection. You feel it is viral because you are not better. Please take days of rest, call your doctor to let them know you are not better. If you are still having fevers the bacteria may be resistant to the antibiotic. Rest and recooperate in order to get better.

Call your Dr.: You should call the treating physician to let them know your symptoms are not improving. 90% of pharyngitis (sore throat) stems from viral origin. However, strep throat (diagnosed with a rapid strep test) is very important to diagnose when present and has serious sequelae if not appropriately treated with antibiotics. Call your treating Dr. and communicate. Good luck.
