Unlikely: It's possible but unlikely, particularly if there are no other enlarged nodes. It is more likely related to infection or inflammation even if you don't have other symptoms. However, the "no normal hilum" statement is a little concerning. Please consult your physician to determine if more workup is needed.

3 yr old,ultrasound revels lymph nodes in upper cervical region bilaterally relatively larger on left side with largest measuring 13mm by 6mm intact hilum,node there since october same size,no symptoms,mobile,no pain or redness.

Had an ultrasound of my neck. The three lymph nodes were not enlarged, normal in size (all under 9mm) and displayed normal architecture however two of them displayed loss of fatty hilum. Does this mean malignancy?
