My son has strep and ear infection. he was prescribed 400 mg/5 ml susp. he is to take 12mls twice a day. is this right? he is 73lbs 9yr old

Fine by me: Although the quantity may seem large, the germs causing ear infections are sometimes partially resistant to antibiotics.Something like a bladder infection would take less since the med concentrates in the pee.All that said, I think this dose is fine for someone his age.
