Irregular(and heavy): bleeding is not unusual after a D&C. In addition to the physical effects from deriding the uterine lining, there are often hormonal changes resulting from disruption of normal hormone regular of menstrual cycles. We often done expect a normal cycle to resume for 45-60 days. What you describe doesn't sound alarming to me, but I recommend you contact your treating OB/GYN specialist. Good wishes:)
