It depends on the: rest of your recent menstruation history. If you have had irregular bleeding in the past or recently stopped hormone or contraception pills, or implants, then that would explain why your periods are changing. If you have had nothing to alter your periods, then other things like nutrition, stress, weight change, exercise, weather, mood can also play a role. I would wait a week to see change.
