Five years ago i sprained ankle, walked a km next day and never did anything about it. ankle sometimes gives out since then. could that be the cause?

If this was due to-: -rolling it over with swelling on the outer side of the ankle, a chronic incompetent lateral ligamentous instability. B evaluated by a fellowship trained sports medicine orthopedic surgeon. There are solutions.but requires surgery.
