Consult urologist: Methadone seems a little "over the top" for treating IC pain & risk of opiate addiction. High dose ibuprofen, naproxen, lidocaine patch or vaginal diazepam all worth trying first. ? consult pain clinic. Hope UR on bland IC diet, avoid alcohol, smoking, caffeine, acidic beverages, spicy foods etc. Also have been tried on various IC meds such as amytriptyline or pentosan polysulfate (Elmiron)
