Here are some...: For a 2-mm stone at the very end of ureter, watch, strain urine for stone retrieval, and see with or without alpha-blocker; this would be the most reasonable course of care for one at 20 with no Hx of prior kidney infection or diabetes mellitus as long as being manageable in pain control, free of suspecting infection, etc. However, if too much symptomatic, occasionally intervention may be needed.
