Is percocet or vicodin safe to take for post op pain for only a week or so? worried about addiction but it's only for post op pain. how effective?

Post operative Pain: I understand your concern about Addiction. If you do not have Dependence on Alcohol, Benzodiazepines or Sleeping medications, you will not become addicted to Percocet or Vicodin if you took it for a week postoperatively. While under care of Surgeon, gradually decrease dose.If intensity of pain decreases, discuss taking Ibuprofen or Naprosyn Do Breathing and Music Relaxation, Meditation
