No specific number: The low glycemic diet is what you need. Eat a diet rich in green vegetables and hard fruits. One that is low in animal saturate fats is also good. Eat 80% of each meal in plant and 20% animal. Get protein and good fat like olive oil coconut oil or nuts at each meal. This will "buffer" the effect of any complex carbohydrates or sugars that naturally occur. This balance will negate carb counting.
