No worries: There's no need to wait. Alcohol in moderation won't interfere with penicillin or increase the chance of side effects. Heavy alcohol can interfere with the immune system's ability to fight infection, so don't overdo it.

Alcohol: While having a single drink containing alcohol won't interfere with the ability of penicillin to fight an infection, alcohol is a toxin to your body and therefore I would recommend to try to avoid alcohol until the infection is under control. Eat and drink nutritious foods and liquids, get plenty of rest and follow the directions of your own dentist. Get that tooth treated asap!
