About 1 month: It depends what exactly is being looked for but they frequently look for metabolites (breakdown products) of the drugs. Best thing to do is to tell the truth. Nixon and others were caught caught by the cover up not their crimes!!

Probably not a blood: test, since they are more expensive and actually do not give better information than a urine test. If you were regularly smoking marijuana, urine tests can remain positive for a month or more, because the metabolites are long-lasting and THC is also stored in body fat and slowly released. Products to hasten excretion or hide it DO NOT WORK. Honesty is your best policy.
