See a physican: Two more common conditions causing swelling in the anterior thigh would be a bruise(contusion) to the area or an infection(cellulitis) of the skin. Assuming you didn't bruise yourself, your description doesn't sound like either of them. It would be unlikely to be anything serious, but you should have the area examined by a physician.
