Knee pain: Many possible causes of knee pain. Knee cap (patella) problems are common explanation, or meniscus injuries. Knee problems are made worse if overweight. Calf pain can be caused by muscle strain (usually doesn't cause knee pain), and occasionally by clotting of the veins in the leg (deep venous thrombosis). If pain persists do see a doctor for an evaluation.

Plan: Because this problems just started recently, you have to check your physical activity yesterday. It most likely muscular pain. Possibly you run or jump a lot, massage this area and use the warm bathtub. Motrin 400 mg/2 tab may help.
