Lipoma?: Are you able to feel exactly where this "fat armpit" begins and ends? If so, are you able to move it around or is it in a fixed position? Doesn't feel hard or soft?Any other symptoms associated with this (fever/chills)? Has it changed in size or shape over the years? It could simply be a lipoma which is nothing to worry about?

Go to MD: You need to see your MD for a full exam. A mass occupying the axilla could be many things, including painless lymphadenopathy or a lipoma. However, it is better for you to get a physical exam so that your physician can determine whether you need a biopsy or further investigation of a medical problem. Don't wait any longer.
