Lymph node: Lymph nodes are small soft lumps throughout your neck, under your jaw and behind your ears. They are part of your immune system. They increase in size and can become tender when they are fighting off an infection, like a sore throat. If the node is below or near the ear, get tested for mono! Mono would include a sore throat, headache, and being tired and wanting to sleep all the time.
