Well...: You can certainly discuss any test or treatment with your physician ... That's part of our job. Although, PET or SPECT scans are quite expensive and usually do not yield results that would be helpful in major depression. But perhaps you could take that opportunity to discuss your goals for treatment and a plan for improving your depression treatment together.
