Why does my hernia feel worse when i lay down and i only read that it should be relieved when i lay down and worse with standing but opposite?

Bend your legs: if you lay down and the legs stretched you still putting tension on the repair muscle, sitting down, or laying down with your legs bending will relrease the tension.
