Uncomfortable chest center pain like a spasm,stab pain,worse when laying down.i had similar pain months ago and had ekg's,echo,chest x-ray,egd,hida scan.everything was normal except egd(4cm sliding hiatal hernia).told i dont have heartburn.any ideas?

Still sounds like heartburn. Or esophageal spasms. Perhaps a gastroenterologist will help. Hiatal hernia can be associated with reflux and that can get you pain and spasms. Good luck.

Agree that symptoms are most likely due to reflux. Don’t understand what “don’t have heartburn” means. Your symptoms most likely will respond to diet, antacids, avoidance of alcohol, smoking etc. Please return to see your regular physician regarding medical management.
