See below: Have you seen your doctor & a surgeon? Standing or walking as a teacher seems fine. Wear an elastic support belt or abdominal binder. Have the hernia fixed if it is a safe option for you.

Reconstruction : Sounds like you may need reconstructive surgery to restore your abdominal wall to a more normal state. This is best done by a team with experience in complex abdominal wall reconstruction - this is not "simple" hernia surgery. You can look at the americas hernia society website to find surgeons interested in hernia repair.
