Yes, worry.: You should be anticoagulated but if it is not therapeutic you could develop another PE. There are other potential issues that could be present. A resting heart rate that high is a physiological representation that something is not right. Persistent tachycardia can lead to additional complications. You need to go and be evaluated as soon as possible.

You have a reason: The reason your resting heart rate is so high is because of the PE. As a vital sign, it tells you that something is wrong; however, you KNOW what is wrong. At this point, trying to lower your resting heart rate is counter-productive, even dangerous. As you continue treatment, it should gradually decrease to the "normal" range of 60-100 bpm, once the condition resolves.
