Ct found 2 nodules in diaphragm , wants me to follow up in 3 months, is this normal and why would this have been spotted in my abdominal ct not chest ?

In or under?: Were the nodules IN the diaphragm (the muscle) or underneath it? Were they near the liver, by chance (which sits underneath the diaphragm)? Without seeing pictures, it's hard to say, but either the nodules were missed on the chest CT or they were in a lower position, where the CT of the chest did not reach. The diaphragm is the border between the chest and the abdomen.
