How come some people get headaches when they over-sleep?

I guess headaches: can be caused by the dependent position of the brain if left in the same spot for too long, or lack of blood flow to the brain due to the pressure. Or certain chemicals like GABA have been released excessively to continue the sleepy/stuporous state. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap.

Interesting question: In an older person, it often means that some part of the body such as the neck or upper back is unhappy being in the same position for so many hours. In a younger person, I'm not sure except that it might be due to low blood sugar. You know why they call it "Break Fast"? For most of us overnight is the longest period of fasting we experience. Try getting up a bit earlier and eating immediately
