Expected: these fractures tend to heal in a collapsed or kyphotic position. studies have shown advantages to kyphoplasty procedure to restore the posture and position of the vertebral body. I promote the procedure early because once it "heals" it will not be amenable to surgery and you're stuck with that position. Long term you're left with exactly what you're complaining about. Also risk of other fractures
