Maybe normal : Having a variety of aches and pains, some similar to the original pain may be normal, or a sign of an abscess inside. While this is a bit unusual for an abscess, if the pain is significant enough, you feel ill, and/or are having fevers, it would be a good idea to follow up with your surgeon. Hope this helps!

Other cause?: For what reason was the surgery done? Did you have actual appendicitis ? Or just right lower quadrant pain? How bad is the pain? What makes it worse? Did the pain you have now pre-date the appendectomy or begin after the surgery? Does food affect it? Activity? What did your surgeon say about the pain? Is it slowly improving or worsening or staying the same? Need a bit more info.
