Hmmm....: A surgeon's motto isn't really, "When in doubt, cut it out." There are many organs in the human body. Just because an organ is less popularly known does not mean we should cut it out. Some people know a lot about cars. If they buy a new car, pop open the hood, and see a part they don't know anything about... no, they don't remove the part.

Taking organs out: All organs have different roles in our body, some better known than others, some vital, some others not. Organs or body parts are removed for medical purposes when they are affected, not functioning properly or posing a threat to the rest of the body. Make sure you understand when talking to your medical team what are the short, medium and long term complications of surgery.
