Fluid and food: Gastroenteritis can be a very serious problem for your body to deal with. The amount of fluid lost through diarrhea in addition to the lack of intact can lead to severe dehydration. Furthermore the lack of nutrition causes the body to break down protein for energy. It takes a lot of fluid, nutrition, and rest to recover. If the symptoms do no improve I would recommend a visit to your doctor.
