Not really: Most surgeons would say you can eat anything you feel like eating. Some patients feel more comfortable eating soft foods and liquids for a few days due to discomfort with swallowing, but anything is really ok if it feels ok. The sutures are really not near the esophagus or swallowing mechanism, so whatever sounds good and is healthy is fine. Good wishes:)

None: Eat what you can tolerate or like. Once you recover, for good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
