Ibuprofen: It depends on whether you are going to get it repaired or not. You may have a tear. I would take ibuprofen. You could opiate pain relievers, however I do not recommend them long term, or without a clearly defined endpoint in sight. You could end up with a far worse problem than rotator cuff pain.
