Continue seeing M.D.: If you have lupus it needs to be treated and the treatment depends on the extent of the disease. Your doctor will either treat you or send you to a specialist for further tests and treatment. Please don't get discouraged as there are very good treatments available.

I would suggest : To start by seeking medical help from a rheumatologist to confirm the diagnosis as step 1. Too many times, people thought they have lupus base on positive ANA. In reality, only about 15 to 20% has lupus with positive ANA. If lupus is confirmed, then should discuss about treatment plan and lifestyle changes, and prognosis as time goes on as disease severity often changes.
