Yes: The prognosis is very variable depending on the etiology of the myocarditis and the severity at the time of diagnosis. There are over 20 different viruses that can cause myocarditis. Not sure.: You did not mention what kind of myocarditis you have - Bacterial, viral, or some other inflammatory disease like connective tissue disorder. The treatment and outcome is different in all of them.
