Talk to ped: You really need to talk to your pediatrician before playing around with formulas. There are indeed higher calorie options or ways to mix regular formula to make them higher claorie. But i'm concerned if a 3 w/o isn't gaining weight fast enough. You ned to be sure that it's from inadequate calories and not some other cause that needs attention. So many things could be going on at just 3 weeks!

Infant feeding: Gas, spitting up and changes in stool are all part of a baby's first few months of life. Check with your pediatrician about your baby's weight and growth. It may be fine, no matter what your grandmother/mother-in-law/next door neighbor says.
