A member asked:

I have swimmers ear,my ear feels completely clogged and painful. can it clear up on its own?do i need antibiotics? using ear drops for pain.

Possibly yes: Swimmers ear (Otitis Externa) can be very painful out of proportion to the degree of infection because the skin of the ear canal is so tight and won't easily expand. Some sort of antimicrobial drops can be prescribed depending on what the infection is. I think you deserve to have it looked at and treated.
