X ray: you need X ray to make sure you do not have a boxer fracture, if there is no history of trauma, then you could be having some kind of arthritis. your description fit the area of a boxer fracture. get X ray, and be seen by a doctor.

Ulna: This prominence is the head of the ulna bone at the wrist and unless you bruised or sprained the area, the discomfort may come from a tendonitis in that area. If the discomfort doesn't resolve with rest, cold or hot applications and taking antiinflammatories like Advil, (ibuprofen) see your physician who may order an xray.
